Join the community! Our forums are divided into various sections (General, Operations, Training, Events...). You are invited to post any questions you might have, pictures of your flights, comments, ideas.

IRC Channel

An Internet Relay Chat (IRC) channel has been created on the IVAO IRC server for division members to chat with each other and the staff.

To connect to this channel, follow these simple instructions:

1. Download an Internet Relay Chat program. This tutorial has been created with the IceChat program (http://www.icechat.net/). It is available for free on their website. The program called mIRC is also a very popular software, however you have to buy a license after 30 days. Also, there are many other clients out there. A quick search of Google will give you lots of results.


2. Once installed, open IceChat. If you get a "Invalid picture" error message at startup, simply ignore it.


3. In the bottom left corner of the window, there should be an "Nickname" button, click it, then change your nickname. You might need to wait until connected to a server before doing this step.


4. In the window, there is a scratchpad towards the bottom where you can type. In order for you to join the IVAO IRC server, you need to type the following command: /server irc.ivao.aero:6668 and then hit enter.


5. You will now be connected to the server. In the scratchpad, in order for you to join the IVAO Canada channel, you need to type the following command: /join #ivaoca and then hit enter.


6. You are now in the channel and can speak to other division members.

TeamSpeak Company Channel

Using TeamSpeak you can connect to the Compagny Channel (CC) server and discuss with other IVAO members. Follow the following procedure.

1. Start TeamSpeak manually;
2. Click on Connection > Connect;
3. On the left section, make a right click and select: Add Server;
4. Fill the fields:
   1. Label: The display name.
   2. Server Address : cc.ts.ivao.aero
   3. Nickname: The name you want to appear on the server.
   4. Select Registered
   5. Login Name : Your VID
   6. User Password: Your IVAN password
5. Click on Connect.

Social Networks

IVAO Canada is present on the major social networks. These communities are so popular right now that we felt it would be a very interesting way to invite new people to join us. If you are a member of a specific social network, you can follow us there by clicking the appropriate logo.
