2013 Buffalo/vintage Tour
Welcome to Canada's Buffalo/vintage Tour 2013
Flight rules: IFR or VFR - whatever you think is appropriate. A composite flightplan (Y/Z) may come handy, too.
When flying IFR, do NOT fly airways and intersections. These simply didnt exist back then. Instead, try oldschool navigation via VORs and NDBs.
When flying VFR: check the flight weather thoroughly before takeoff, to make sure, that you will be VMC all the way.
Aircraft type: Built before 1960
Max. Altitude: 22.000 ft.
Max. Speed: 180 KIAS
All legs have to be flown online in the right order, using real weather, in realtime mode (1x sim rate).
Pay attention to your flight plan. Legs with wrong departure and/or arrival airport will be rejected.
Report takeoff and landing times in UTC (Zulu) time.
--> Include as remark in your flight plan CAVINTAGEBUSH13 LEGxx (Replace 'xx' with the leg number)
And, most important: Have fun!
The rules of the tour are available in the MODA Lite system. This system will provide you with the tour legs, and that is where you will be able to send your flight reports and get your tour award. Once you have completed this tour, you will receive the Division IFR Tour award.
